EDIT [Dec. 5th, 2022]: The wish lists mentioned in this post are now defunct. If you would like to see our post about our new and improved wish lists, please click here.
Hello, patrons! Here’s hoping you all had a nice Memorial Day weekend.
First, we are happy to announce that our library is now able to be selected as your charity of choice when you use Amazon Smile! If you are shopping on Amazon on a web browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, etc.), you can enter the webpage smile.amazon.com to have a percentage of your Amazon purchase go to the charity of your choice. We are listed under “Plymouth Public Library,” but just make sure that you select the one located in Plymouth, PA. For more information about how Amazon Smile works, click here.
Second, we have a few Amazon wish lists configured with volume suggestions for library donations. These wish lists started as an easy in-house suggestion tool to help us here at PPL keep track of what kind of books we needed or would like to acquire whenever we could get new volumes. The once singular wish list even branched off into four different lists, to help with sorting the fiction from the nonfiction, and the adult titles from the children’s. However, after receiving many inquiries about how community members could make a donation, we decided to alter the settings so that anyone who wanted to donate a book or two can have them delivered directly to us! If you’d rather support your local bookstore & get one from there instead of Amazon, keep in mind that we’re open to receiving titles that are not on the list, but similar in nature to those that are (ex: a chemistry book that’s not listed, but is similar to the other chemistry books that are there; or a different edition of a novel).
[REMOVED 12/5/22]
Thanks so much for supporting us here at the Plymouth Public Library!
