FAQs

Q: Is the library accepting book donations?

A: As of October 2022, the library is not. We are actively working on making more space so that we can begin accepting book donations again. The library will be sure to notify the public when we begin to accept donations again.

Please be aware that we do not accept the following items:

VHS tapes, vinyl records, magazines, newspapers, encyclopedias, textbooks, smelly and/or moldy books, computer manuals prior to 2015.

Q: Does the library have a wish list? How can I donate new books to the library for circulation?

A: Here is the link to our Amazon account’s default wish list, which has materials that are wanted for upcoming displays. It is updated regularly by staff every month. However, on the left-hand side of this list is where you’ll find the links to our other wish lists based on subject matter.

So, if you would like to donate a book about Pennsylvania, or a juvenile biography, you can click on the relevant wish list and see what materials are recommended for donation. It does not have to be purchased through Amazon, either; you can always pick up a suggested book at your local bookstore if you would rather donate that way.
